Eli Alberts heading for Guangxi University in China, after sojourn in Taiwan

hat tip to Jerome Keating in Taipei

Dr Alberts got his Ph.D. in East Asian languages and civilization with a focus on pre-modern China at U. Penn.
His research focused mainly on the Yao minority in South China, Vietnam, Laos and Thailand. He was at Academia Sinica in Taipei doing post-doctoral work.
Eli now has an appointment at Guangxi University in Nanning, Guangxi, China; It is two hours from Vietnam. A good place for one with his interests.

Did Eli have any guanxi in order to get in at Guangxi University, PUNishment intended.
